GPM, Inc. Receives Preferred Supplier Classification from Basin Electric

Duluth, MN: On March 10, 2014, Jim Huncovsky, Manager of Procurement for Basin Electric Power Cooperative, announced that GPM, Inc. had achieved the Preferred Supplier classification according to the Basin Electric supplier quality assurance program. Out of the many suppliers who do business with Basin Electric, only the top eighteen achieve Preferred Supplier level.

Basin Electric uses a comprehensive list of quality metrics to grade suppliers as part of their Supplier Quality Assurance Process. GPM scored high in accuracy of orders, amongst other categories. GPM received an increased overall evaluation score of 3.6 in 2013 compared to 3.4 in 2012. GPM’s Delivery Quality Performance report improved from 98.6% in 2012 to 99.7% in 2013, a rating deemed outstanding by Basin Electric.

GPM employees were also recognized for their level of support and problem solving. “Evaluators had positive comments regarding the level of support GPM sales staff provides,” the report stated. “GPM, Inc. continues to be a dependable and reliable supplier for Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Dakota Gasification.” GPM is very pleased to accept this recognition as a 2014 Preferred Supplier for Basin Electric. GPM takes quality very seriously and continues to implement initiatives to meet and exceed customer expectations.
